A Scoot to Fawn Creek Winery

It’s a lazy, warm Fall day and I’m bored. So I pull my scooter out of the garage and head over to Fawn Creek Winery.
Fawn Creek is one of my favorite wineries. In fact I worked there part time for a summer doing all kinds of odd jobs.
It’s early in the afternoon on a weekday when I pull up, walk in and purchase a glass of my favorite wine, Cabernet Sauvignon. The perfect wine for a warm day in Fall with nature’s colors peeking out at me from the trees.
Walking out on the back deck I discover I’m the only one there, so I take a walk down to vineyard where I once worked pruning vines. Many people have this grand vision of working in winery, but I doubt it includes the hard work that goes with it.
Back up on the deck I grab a comfortable chair and sip my Cabernet Sauvignon while enjoying the peaceful setting around me. There was a time that saw me on this same deck pouring wine for crowds of happy people.
These days though, I prefer to be on the sipping end of things. As I sit here taking in the sun I think to myself, I really do need to come here more often.

Well my Cabernet Sauvignon is gone so back on the scooter I go. It’s been a fine day.
