Doors

There are things known and things unknown and in between are the Doors.

When I see an interesting door I take a photo of it. I found the one above while walking through a back alley. Actually I recommend everyone check out the alleys behind Main Street in towns. Never know what you'll find :)

Some magnificent doors can be found on old banks, governments buildings and churches. I marvel at the thought and workmanship that went into building a door like the one above.

The above door is a real curiosity to me. I came across it in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Had I the time I would have liked to hung around for the show just to see the inside of the building.

Then you have doors of churches when churches were built of stone and reached for the sky. Churches are a favorite street photography subject. Unfortunately too many are disappearing. Maybe too expensive to maintain or a dwindling congregation, but I sure do hate to see them go.
